making I.T active.. sugesstion

in order to make I.T active .. give some points to the users in accordance with the hours the user active in I.T..

means for example .. if an user was active for 10 hrs ( and u admins hv the technologhy to find it ) then give 10 points or like that...

soo the long users r thr in the I.T ,and the site will b more active normally..

points system vannaal nallathaayirunnu ..

The following are my suggestions :

1. For every valid comments, threads, etc. there should be points.

The points that can be earned should vary based on the quality of the sections (Like discussion threads etc.)

Comments in those threads should be moderated by the concerned mods and comments that seems to be spam, should be deleted.


2. In Sections where there is possibility of spamming, there should either be no points or should have low points..

Examples of such sections are Magazines, Books, Movies, Music, etc - where most of the users will give comments like "Thanks" or "Good Share".


3. Utilization of points.

This is very important ..
Currently, if a download link is hidden, (in sections such as movies, magazines, music, books, etc.), the user can see the links only if he replies to that thread and has minimum 10 posts.

Instead of this system, the system should be that if the user wants to see the links, he has to pay some points ..

So, if he wants to see the download link, he has to make some valid replies in other sections to earn points, and use this points to see the download links.


I am not sure about the possibility of implementation of such a system.


We can discuss more about this, and I hope more and more ideas would come up ...

1st and 2nd point ws excatly am saying..totally agreed

And about 3rd point its a g8 idea.. but the problem is tat wat wil happen to a brand new user without any points.. wil tey wait to get the starting kick ' points' to download ... i dont tink soo.. tey wil move on.. so if v trouble shoot tat fresher's problem to download by giving some new entry basic free points or something like that it can b solved..

Also the laws & working of site sud be more TRANSPARENT and CONFUSION FREE.. emans.. while opening the home page itself everyone should know 'HOW TO EARN POINTS.. BENEFITS OF POINTS .. HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS etc..

last point about CONFUSION nan parayan karanam... first wen i joined here.. enik 3 days eduthu to know how to download a file.. it ws like ONAKKA MEEN in front of POOCHA... i ws thinking y sud i say THANKS b4 downloading seeing others thanksgiving post... so i didnt and tried my level best to get the download link.. last enghanyoo alle technique pidikidiyathu..

Yes, I agree... A Fresher should be given some free points ..
