It is a dull period at the Kerala box-office. Nearly a dozen films released in the last three Fridays and all of them bombed! Films like Face 2 Face, Scene Onnu Nammude Veedu, Madirasi, Poppins were colossal flops, which will not even recover its print and publicity cost.
Dileep`s My Boss slowly turned out to be a super hit for the star and is in the number one position and has taken a share of nearly Rs 3.60 Cr in four weeks from Kerala and is still going strong. At Ernakulam Padma, it has netted Rs 38.5 lakhs in 35 days, which is simply awesome. In Trivandrum Sreekumar it has netted Rs 34.6 lakhs and is a super hit.
In the second place is Vijay`s Thuppakki which continues to rock Kerala. As per trade sources the film has taken a distributors` share of Rs 3.75 Crore in 25 days from Kerala and is Vijay`s biggest hit in Kerala. From Trivandrum alone the film has netted Rs 43 lakhs in 25 days, which is phenomenal for a Tamil film.
At number three is Shajoon Kariyal`s Lal-Biju Menon mass entertainer Chettayees, which may scrape through. In the fourth place is Life of Pi in limited release is doing well. Angamally Carnival multiplex has given a share of Rs 2.5 lakhs for the film! In the fifth place is Aayalum Njanum Thammil which is doing well in smaller stations.
Bavuttiyude Namathil Collection Report
Bavuttiyude Namathil has released in almost 65 theaters which is second highest number of releases behind karmayodha. But Bavuttiyude Namathil has got good word of mouth comparing other Christmas releases. Surely, Bavuttiyude Namathil will end Mammootty's drought for a clean hit.
Bavuttiyude Namathil has collected 1.40 Crores in its 3 day run. Probably a good start towards success
1,550 shows in its 6 days run, Bavuttiyude namathil has earned 2.70 Crores which will surely bring a convincing hit for the Megastar
Karmayodha Collection Report
Karmayodha has released in highest note this Christmas i.e in 87 theaters. But the word of mouth doesn't seems encouraging. The satellite rights of Karmayodha was sold for whooping 3.8 Crores.
Karmayodha has collected 1.65 Crores from first 3 days.....Above Average Opening......Thanks to huge hype and the number of theater releases.
Karmayodha has collected 3.40 Crores in its 6 day run....In total 2,100 theater shows all over india....For the movie to be safe it has to collect around 7 Crores which seems to be impossible.
My Boss Collection Report
Initial reports shows that My Boss is gonna have a decent business in the Boxoffice.

5 days collection is 2.40 crores (1400 theatrical shows).
14 days collection is 4.7 crores.

The Christmas box-office saw Kumki emerging as the new number one at the CBO. It has collected better than its first weekend share, as more screens and bigger auditoriums were given by multiplexes.
Kumki is the number as it has netted nearly Rs 4.05 Cr in 10 days in Chennai, which is very good by any yardstick. In the second place is Neethane En Ponvasantham, which is just surviving in ?plexes.
In the third place is Salman Khan`s Dabangg 2, which has taken a decent opening. The Hobbit is doing very well in HFR 3D and is in the fourth position. At number five is Sivaji 3D.

Salman's Dabangg 2 crosses Rs 100 crore mark at Box Office
Arbaaz Khan's Dabangg 2 starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in leads, has continued to keep the bells ringing at the Indian Box Office on working days too. With its business going strong on weekdays, the romantic action movie has crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic collection centres on Wednesday on the sixth day of its release. After a rocking business on Christmas holiday on December 25, Dabangg 2 showed a drop of 50% in its collection on Wednesday. As per early trends, the Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer has collected Rs 8.12 crores at the domestic Box Office on the sixth day, taking its total collection to Rs 100.78 crores nett. On his Twitter account, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh has confirmed that the romantic action movie would cross Rs 100 crore mark. The film critic and trade expert tweeted, "At the rate #Dabangg2 is faring, one can safely *assume* that the film will cross the 100 cr nett mark today. On 6th day of release." Salman Khan's previous release Ek Tha Tiger was the fastest 100 crore grosser movie in the history of Indian Cinema. And Dabangg 2 was expected to beat this record. But Arbaaz Khan's debut directorial venture has become the second fastest Rs 100 crore grosser film with its collection crossing this mark in six days. Dabangg 2 has one more day ahead to conclude the first week and trade experts say that the movie is expected to collect Rs 110 crores at the domestic Box Office in its opening week. However, Dabangg 2 will not have any big competitor in the second week. Hence it is expected to do well in the next week too. Salman's Dabangg 2 (7 days) 1st week collection at Box Office
Filmmaker Arbaaz Khan's first directorial venture Dabangg 2 has done superb collection at the Indian Box Office in the first week. The Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer has smashed several old records and set its own new benchmark at the domestic business centres. The movie has become the biggest opener on non-holiday Friday and second fastest Rs 100 crores grosser of all time. Dabangg 2, which released in theatres on December 21, opened to a packed house and turned out to be the biggest opener for non-holiday Friday. The romantic action showed a drop in its business on Saturday, but it witnessed a huge jump on Sunday. The movie did wonderful collection at the domestic Box Office in the first weekend, thereby breaking the previous record of Rowdy Rathore. Salman's previous release Ek Tha Tiger, which had released in 3,300 screens in the country on August 15, had collected Rs 101+ crores at the desi Box Office in the five-day first weekend. Whereas Dabangg 2, which released in 3,500 screens in the country, was expected to break this record. But the movie failed and it collected Rs 65 crores at domestic collection centres in its opening weekend. Ek Tha Tiger, which cashed in on Eid holiday on Monday, had collected Rs 50+ crores at the domestic Box Office on weekdays. Whereas Dabangg 2, which cashed in on Christmas holiday on Tuesday, has also done superb business on the weekdays, but it is not up to the mark of Ek Tha Tiger. Dabangg 2 has collected Rs 43.37 crore at the domestic Box Office on the weekdays. Ek Tha Tiger had collected a total of Rs 156 crores at the Box Office in its nine day opening week and its breakup was Rs 32.92 cr on Wed, Rs 14.5 cr on Thu, Rs 12.90 cr on Fri, Rs 16.75 cr on Sat, Rs 23.06 cr nett on Sun, Rs 20.68 cr Mon, Rs 16.31 cr on Tue, Rs 10.45 cr on Wed and Rs 7.5 cr on Thu. Whereas Dabangg 2 has raked in Rs 108.37 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in the (7 days) first week and its breakup is Rs 21.10 cr on Fri, Rs 19.06 cr on Sat, Rs 25 cr on Sun, Rs 12 cr on Mon, Rs 16 cr on Tue, Rs 8.12 cr on Wed and Rs 7.75 cr on Thu. For a non-holiday Friday release, it is a record-breaking collection and the movie has set a new record at the Box Office.
