NEW Whatsapp has released two new features

Whatsapp has released two new features for its Android phone users.

The new features were available for beta in the previous app but now they are available to the general android users.

The first feature will allow WhatsApp users to watch a video while it's downloading, like a streaming service. That doesn't mean you won't be able to download the video to your device. The user will be able to start watching the video as soon as they click on the play button.

The second feature will let users convert short 6-seconds videos into GIF images and share it directly with their WhatsApp contacts. Last month, the instant messaging platform rolled out a new video calling feature which is still undergoing various updates and bug fixes.

WhatsApp will also stop support for many devices by the end of this year. The company claims that these devices don't let the app function in its full potential.

No Whatsapp for these phones after December 31
WhatsApp has revealed that it will be stopping support for a number of devices by the end of this year. Before smartphones, Nokia's Symbian was one of the most dominating operating system in the phone market. Despite featuring on legendary Nokia devices, the operating system seems to be coming to an absolute end very soon.

The most popular instant messaging application, WhatsApp has released a statement mentioning the operating systems that won't receive support from the company after the end of 2016. The announcement was made back in February this year.

These are the operating systems that will not have access to Whatsapp after December 31:

BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10

Nokia S40

Nokia Symbian S60

Android 2.1 and Android 2.2

Windows Phone 7.1

iPhone 3GS/iOS 6

The instant messaging company recommended upgrading to a newer Android, iPhone, or Windows Phone before the end of 2016 to continue using WhatsApp.
